Cyndy Wald is excited to be a part of the successful Hunker Appels firm. She began her legal career after earning two college degrees, including her paralegal degree in Allied Legal Studies in Gainesville, Florida. For over fifteen years, Cyndy worked in major insurance defense firms in areas including medical malpractice, maritime, and federal law.
Cyndy assisted attorneys with research, discovery and all aspects of litigation from inception through and assisting at trial. Her drive and hard work paid off when combing through documents, she discovered valuable information to assist counsel in successfully defending their client. In one medical malpractice action, Cyndy uncovered a family medical history which proved to be paramount in defending the client of medical negligence.
Cyndy’s varied experience includes assisting counsel through daily litigation in the county, circuit and appellate court levels. Whether speaking with clients, obtaining expert witnesses, fact witnesses, and keeping up with the attorney’s busy calendar, Cyndy is all about getting work done timely and accurately. Having gained experience as a paralegal in plaintiff representation, Cyndy has gained keen insight to both party practices.
For several years, Cyndy was a paralegal in Condominium and Homeowner’s Association Law as well as assisting in Landlord-Tenant Law. This knowledge, and her genuine care for people, enabled her to succeed as a top producer in real estate sales. Her compassion for children led her to be a Guardian ad Litem in Broward County, where she received commendation from the court for the work she performed.
When Cyndy is not working, she loves spending time with her grown children, family, friends, attending local community events, serving the community, crossword puzzles, working out, and venues with live music and comedy.
